School Meals

We are proud of our College food. Our dedicated team of staff provide a wide variety of choices ensuring there is always something to tempt all tastes.

Our food is nutritionally balanced and healthy, and we operate a three week menu cycle (see below). As well as the regular menus, there are also themed days which often coincide with festivals such as Hallowe'en, and celebrations from other cultures and traditions such as Chinese New Year.

If your child has any specific dietary requirements, do not hesitate to contact College via admin@settlecollege.n-yorks.sch.uk and we will endeavour to accommodate them. We have allergen matrices at our tills and hot servery and we encourage students to check with staff which foods they can safely consume.

We were delighted to welcome our new Catering Manager Mr Sartori in September 2025, who is introducing an exciting new menu after half-term (from 3rd November 2025):

New Autumn Menu from 3rd November 2025

In addition to hot meals, Mr Sartori has introduced a varied "Grab & Go" selection, including hot marinated chicken flatbreads from Love Joe's and hand-stretched pizzas by Tugo. We also offer traditional hot paninis and jacket potatoes, as well as cold favourites such as sandwiches, pasta boxes, or our new filled baguettes. Our fabulous selection of biscuits and traybakes are all home-made by our resident baker Mrs Booth, including delicious warm pastries at morning break.

We always offer whole fruits as well as mini pots of chopped fresh fruit prepared in-house. A variety of drinks are available and students are welcome to refill their own water bottle from the dispenser.

Prices are displayed in the Dining Room: Dining Room Price List

We operate a cashless catering system using biometric finger scanners as a method of identification. Parents/Guardians credit their accounts via ParentPay, students are not allowed to enter a deficit on their account.
