GCSE Results 2026

Settle College Celebrates GCSE Success in 2026

Students at Settle College are celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results today, reflecting years of hard work, determination and ambition.

The Class of 2026 has achieved strong outcomes across a wide range of GCSE and vocational subjects, with many students securing results that will enable them to progress confidently onto the next stage of their education and training.

Alongside their academic success, this year group has made a tremendous contribution to school life through sport, the arts, leadership opportunities, enrichment activities and service to the wider community. Their achievements reflect not only examination success but also the character, resilience and commitment they have shown throughout their time at Settle College.

While there are no official national progress measures published this year, the college is pleased to report that internal data indicates that students have made the expected progress across their secondary education.

Outstanding Individual Achievements

Among the many successes celebrated today are:

· Cian Hudson, who achieved an exceptional set of results including predominantly Grade 9s alongside a Level 2 Distinction* qualification.

· Imogen Royston, who secured an impressive collection of mainly Grade 8s and 7s, together with a Level 2 Distinction award. Speaking after receiving her results, Imogen said: "I have worked really hard over the last year and I'm glad of my results." She will now continue her studies at Settle College Sixth Form.

· Danny Keep celebrated outstanding results, achieving mainly Grade 8s across a broad range of subjects.

· Reuben Eagle achieved a strong set of results with an average grade of 7 and summed up his reaction in one word: "Amazing!"

· Florrie Wilkinson secured an impressive range of grades from 8 to 6 across her subjects and was delighted with her achievements. She will now join Settle College Sixth Form to study Geography, Biology and Physical Education.

Many other students also celebrated excellent outcomes, including Thomas Harrison, Josh Carling, Harvey Lynn, Logan Fellows, Jacob Honor, Elsa Burke, Owen Smith, Toby Pain, Mabel Whitaker, Riley Lippitt, Martha Atkinson, Alicia Banks and Isla Beckett, highlighting the breadth of success achieved across the year group.

Looking Ahead

Many students will continue their educational journey at Settle College Sixth Form, while others are progressing onto apprenticeships, vocational courses and employment opportunities.

The college is proud of the diverse and ambitious pathways students are now pursuing and looks forward to following their future successes.

Headteacher's Message

Gareth Whitaker, Headteacher of Settle College, said:

"I am incredibly proud of every student receiving their GCSE results today. These achievements represent years of hard work, determination and perseverance, and each student should take great pride in what they have accomplished, from their days at primary school through to today.

"What makes these results particularly special is that they reflect much more than examination outcomes. Throughout their time at Settle College, this group of young people has embraced opportunities, supported one another and contributed positively to our school community. They have developed the character, resilience and ambition that will serve them well in the future.

"I would like to thank our dedicated staff, governors, parents and carers for the support they have provided throughout this journey. Today's results are a testament to the strength of our whole school community, and we look forward to celebrating our students' future successes."
