GCSE Results Day 2025
Celebrating Exceptional Achievement: Settle College Students Shine in GCSE Results 2025
Settle College is delighted to announce another year of outstanding achievement as students receive their GCSE results for 2025. This significant milestone is a testament to the unwavering dedication, resilience, and ambition of our Year 11 cohort, who have worked tirelessly to achieve their goals.
This year’s results are a source of pride for the entire Settle College community, reflecting the high standards and supportive environment that we strive to offer every student. The results reveal not only impressive academic accomplishments but also the personal growth and determination shown by our pupils over the last five years, mapped through our Settle College diploma.
Rosie Wilson is never usually one with nothing to say, but on opening her results was lost for words at the outstanding progress she has made during her time at Settle College. Equally delighted, Emily Goulding simply said, “The moment has arrived - and it has gone really well!”
Oli Ashton spoke of his thanks for the College: “Settle College has been extremely helpful and supportive and I am very grateful to everyone”. Matthew Krickhan stated, ‘I’m thrilled with my outcomes and now going on to study maths, computing and geography in the Sixth Form”, whilst Kirsten Wulf was justifiably excited for the future, already planning to study engineering following A levels, for which she has made a strong start with 9’s in maths and physics.
Many of our students will now embark on the next stage of their educational journey, with a significant number choosing to continue their studies at Settle College Sixth Form, while others pursue apprenticeships or vocational courses beyond Settle. We are incredibly proud of the diverse and ambitious pathways our students are taking, each one building on the strong foundation they have established at Settle College.
Mr Whitaker, Headteacher of Settle College, praised the students and the entire school community for their dedication and achievement: “I am absolutely thrilled with this year’s GCSE results. These outcomes are the culmination of years of hard work and commitment by our students, supported by an exceptional team of staff, our dedicated Governors, and, of course, our wonderful parents and carers. The past two weeks have truly been a time of celebration for everyone involved with Settle College. Congratulations to all our students – we are incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing all that you will achieve in the future.”
The success of our students is a reflection of the collaborative ethos at Settle College, where staff, Governors and families work hand in hand to inspire and nurture every young person. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has played a part in this journey.
Over the last fortnight, Settle College has enjoyed a series of celebrations, recognising not only academic success but also the many contributions our students have made to school life and the wider community. It has been a special time for families, friends, and staff to come together and share in the joy of our students’ achievements.
