Sixth Form students at Settle College enjoy a wide range of courses, staff who have rigorous expectations and who help young people to achieve them, and rates of progress over several years has seen many progress to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities as well as highly competitive apprenticeships.

We work with students in developing the gifts they possess, whatever they may be, so that they are well prepared to take their place in the adult world confidently.

November 2021 English and Maths resit progress

3 entries for Maths resit:

1 improved from a Grade 3 to a Grade 4
2 remained at a Grade 5

2 entries for English resit:

1 went from a Grade 5 to a Grade 6
1 went from a Grade 3 to a Grade 4 

Retention:

Over the past few years retention from year 11 to Year 12 has been on average 39%
In the 2020/21 academic year, retention from Year 11 to 12 was 43%. In 2022, it dropped to 30%.
Retention from Year 12 to Year 13 in 2022 was 93%
(1 student joined the Royal Navy in January 2022, 1 left to begin an apprenticeship and one left at the end of Year 12 for a college course)
