OFSTED REPORT
GOOD WITH OUTSTANDING FEATURES
OfSTED May 2010
The OfSTED report has now been released and we are all delighted with the outcome of “good with outstanding features”. The full report is now available on our website and paper copies have been sent home with the students. The result is a testament to the hard work of students, staff and Governors. We were particularly pleased that student contribution to the community, governance and leadership and management across the College were all rated as “outstanding”. Our thanks to all the students for their support and excellent conduct throughout the inspection and to parents for their very positive responses to the OfSTED questionnaire.

Welcome to Settle College
Settle College is a mixed 13-19 Comprehensive School. Founded in 1907 as Settle Girls' High School, in 1959 we became Settle High School one of the very first comprehensive schools in the UK. Our name changed again in 2004 when the school gained Technology College status.
We welcome students from our local Middle Schools as well as those from out of the area. The College is a thriving community of 550 students which includes a Sixth Form of 110. Students travel from as far as Hawes in the North to Skipton and beyond in the South.
Our core values are those of excellence and inclusion. We aim to provide the best possible opportunities for students of all abilities and to enable them to achieve as highly as possible. The College provides a warm and supportive environment in which young people flourish. There is a wealth of extra curricular opportunities, check on the links to find out more. We have a team of highly capable staff and through the vertical tutoring system we ensure that every student is well known. Young people are encouraged to be involved in the key decisions affecting the College.
We hope you will find this website useful and informative.
Yours faithfully
