Why Settle College for Post 16?

We are a small Sixth Form with a full range of subjects for students, where students feel safe and secure, where the teachers know the students very well and there is an atmosphere of community and ownership. We pride ourselves on being a friendly Sixth Form with great pastoral care, where students are encouraged to aim high and achieve their full potential. We aim to educate the whole person, preparing them to successfully face the challenges of the future with confidence and pride, moving onto Further Education or employment.

At Settle College Sixth Form you will continue your full time education, and whilst the pursuit of qualifications is an important part of student life, there’s more to it than that! As well as studying in your chosen area you will follow an Enrichment programme provided to ensure that all students follow a balanced curriculum.

At Settle College we offer a fantastic range of extra-curricular activities and dedicated enrichment time, some of which include: mentoring, primary school links, volunteering with Age Concern, sporting activities and leadership through Sixth Form Committee. Recent overseas trips have included a History trip to Berlin, a Geography trip to Iceland and a joint Art and Geography trip to Barcelona.
