Nara Subjects and Timetable

Nara High School is a Super Science High School (SSH).

SSH means it is a school which is chosen to develop students’ interest in sciences.  We are taking Super Science Project English. We read topics about science, and talk about them and listen to the ALT speaking in English.

We have seven classes a day.  Each class is forty-five-minute long.  The school day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:35pm.  Before and after school we practice and enjoy our club activities.  Also, at the end of the school day, we clean our classrooms and the entire school.

Our school is a high school on a credit system.  So, this is very unusual in Japan.  We can select the classes we would like to take.  Our high school motto is “voluntary and creative.”
