Nara High School

About Nara High school

By Nana Umezawa, Hatsumi Yamamoto, Sayuri Takanishi and Mami Yoshikawa

There are about one thousand two hundred students in our school.  We have ten classes in each grade and there are about forty students in each class.  There are approximately seventy teachers at our school.  We come to class every weekday, but we don’t have any class on the weekend.

First, we have Short Home Room (SHR) with our homeroom teacher.  Then each class begins.  Our school is a high school on a credit system, so we have classes that classmates take together.  At the end of the day we say goodbye.  Afterwards some people go home and other people go to club activities.

Next, we would like to tell you about location of our school.  Nara High School is in Nara city.    Nara Park and the vestige Heijokyuseki are near by.  Many students come to school by train; the nearest station is Shinomiya Station.  It takes 20 minutes to walk from there to our school.     Some students who live near school come by bicycle or on foot.

Let us finish our introduction with this. Thank you.
