Class Excursion

Each class can decide where to go on a class excursion in May, for example, having a barbecue, picking strawberries, sightseeing in Kyoto and so on.  It is a chance for students to make friends with their new classmates.

Ball Games Day (a kind of sports day)

Our school has a ball games day twice a year (in spring and winter).  The sports we play are dodge ball, basketball, football and volleyball.  The first and the second grade students use a municipal gym which is a few kilometers away from our school; the third grade students use the gym at our school.

School Trip

Every year the second grade students go on a trip.  This year we’re going to go to Tohoku, the northern Mainland of Japan, on July 7th for 4 days.  We make plans class by class.  So each class has a different plan: where to get off the plane, where to visit, where to stay etc. This event is a chance to get to know each other better and to experience something special that we can’t experience in our own town.

Seitansai

We have a big school festival called “Seitansai” in September.  We prepare for it long before the festival.  Freshman students perform dances on stage with all their classmates.

Juniors hold events in their classrooms, for example, a haunted house, a maze, and so on.

Seniors are in charge of food stalls.  They prepare food such as, yakisoba, takoyaki, ice cream, and so on.  Cooking and Selling food is the big event at ‘Seitansai’.  These foods taste good.  We enjoy and look forward to this festival every year.

Athletic Meeting

The athletic meeting is held in September every year in our school ground.  While we are marching into the field, each class performs something for the spectators, appealing their spirit

There are events of relay races, tug-of-war, three-legged race, jump rope, etc.  Everyone gets excited on this day.
