In March 2008 Dr Williets visited Tokyo, Japan. Read more about this in “On being a flying Hero”.
During the visit he met with Harumi Matsui, a teacher of English at Nara Super Science School. During the meetings and at lunch breaks during the conference, they agreed to start a school link between post-16 students at the two schools.
In the first instance students would write to each other, in English, describing their schools and aspects of their school life. This first contact between students has been established and we will go on to explore food and agriculture in the two countries.
