History at Settle College involves learning about and discussing the kind of historical changes that have shaped today’s world. Studying history encourages students to produce well-reasoned arguments based on the evaluation of evidence. It allows students to explore different past societies and attitudes. It provides an opportunity to develop literacy, communication, team-working and thinking skills.
