Dance Rock

The Global Dance Rock Challenge takes place at St. George's Hall in Bradford.  This is a worldwide competition which was originally set up in Australia to raise awareness about alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse. Each school chooses a theme to explore through dance. The College‟s theme in 2010 was “Big Brother is Watching You” and looked at a society dominated by CCTV surveillance.  The students were delighted with the prizes for:

    • Global Rock Challenge Award for Concept Originality
    • Bradford Metropolitan District Council Award for Spirit of Rock Challenge
    • Be Your Best Foundation Award for School Community Support
    • Global Rock Challenge Award for Concept Interpretation

Over one hundred students from the College took part both dancing and working backstage, along with parents and staff.

We have successfully received a place in the 2011 Dance Rock Challenge competition. It will take place on Wednesday 6th April at St George’s Hall Bradford.
If you would like to join for the event tickets will be on general sale through the Box Office or through the school office when released.
