From September 2012, students will be admitted to Settle College at the age of 11 and, for the first time in over 30 years, we will have a Year 7 and a Year 8. The specific arrangements for that are as follows:
Admissions
Parents of children who are in Year 6 in September 2011 will need to complete an application form for a place at Settle College in Year 7 (September 2012). This has to be done in order to comply with the national admission rules. Parents must have completed the form by 31st October 2011.
A place at Settle College will be offered to all children in the area unless parents have asked for a place at another school.
Parents of children in other Year groups (Years 7 & 8) do not need to fill in a form. These children will be automatically put on the role of Settle College from September 2012.

Open Days and Evenings
We hold an Open Day and Evening in late September, when parents are encouraged to visit to see the College at work and to talk to the Principal and staff about the opportunities available for their child.
Details of these events will be advertised through the local Primary Schools and also in the local media. However, should you require further information or assistance at any time, please do not hesitate to contact Jane Dewhurst, Assistant Principal on 01729 822451.
