Settle College has an important and growing link with The Theraputta National School in Amabalantota. This is in the South Eastern Hanbantota area of Sri Lanka. The area was one of the worst hit by the Tsunami on Boxing Day 2004. In November 2007 we were invited to take part in a linking visit for North Yorkshire schools sponsored by the British Council. After a series of seminars and presentations Mr Bancroft spent some time at the Theraputta National School working with our link teacher, Prassanna Senaka.
