Fencing Club The new fencing club has been a huge success. Twelve students have taken the opportunity to learn this exciting sport and have enjoyed the challenge of this physically demanding activity. As you can see from the photos it is also great fun. |

Streetdance Over 20 students have taken part in the new street dance club which takes place every Tuesday lunchtime. The girls have learnt a new routine that will be incorporated into the Dance Rock competition later in the year. Helen Howard has been delighted with the positive response of the girls and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. |

Mountain biking group The mountain biking club has been boosted by the inclusion of a new crop of strong riders from Year 9 this year. Callum Lambert, Matthew Horn, Luke Jeffery and Jack Brennad in particular have slotted easily into the group and have not been fazed by the more extreme routes on the schedule.. The Year 10 riders Joe Hawkins and Dan Fox now count as “old hands” and are using their experience skills to lead rides on a regular basis. Joe’s area of expertise is in trials, and his largely self-taught bike handling skills are of a high calibre, whilst Dan is an out and out trail rider whose navigation and terrain skills are developing well. Messrs Reynard and Hulzebus have been welcome addition to the staff support team, and Mrs Hill has branched off to lead a girls’ group on Wednesdays.

Warrior Workout Warrior Workout made an interesting addition to Wednesday lunchtimes. The energetic sessions combine kicks and punches and all set to music. For the last three sessions, Vicky Lakin reverted to traditional Thai Boxing in the hope of attracting some boys. |
