Fencing Club
The new fencing club has been a huge success. Twelve students have taken the opportunity to learn this exciting sport and have enjoyed the challenge of this physically demanding activity. As you can see from the photos it is also great fun. |

Streetdance
Over 20 students have taken part in the new street dance club which takes place every Tuesday lunchtime. The girls have learnt a new routine that will be incorporated into the Dance Rock competition later in the year. Helen Howard has been delighted with the positive response of the girls and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. |

Biking Club
The cyclists have made a good start to the new season this Autumn. The Craven Ridge Ride turned into an epic when the group was thoroughly soaked by the first collection point at Four Lane Ends, and the track down from the ridge was completely submerged for most of its length, all of which added to the fun.
Mr Laycock’s ‘Settle Loop’ ride was done in good weather and the group enjoyed fine views and a speedy run. Despite the inclement conditions, we have had good rides on each occasion, and the staff members (Mrs Hill, Mr Reynard, Mr Laycock and Mr Shepherd) have been well looked after by the group. Old hands Tim Jackson and Joel Chapman have improved their knowledge of trail riding over the last eight months and have been joined by some experienced Sixth Formers, as well as some new Year 9 and 10s this term. |
Warrior Workout
Warrior Workout made an interesting addition to Wednesday lunchtimes. The energetic sessions combine kicks and punches and all set to music. For the last three sessions, Vicky Lakin reverted to traditional Thai Boxing in the hope of attracting some boys. |
