The A-level music course consists of three sections; Influence on music, Creating musical Ideas (Composing) and Interpreting Music ideas (Performing), providing students with the knowledge and experience required for higher and further Education.

Throughout the A-level in music students will be required to completed short and long home learning tasks involving research, composing, practice, listening and completing exam style question including essays. For performance coursework students are expected to practise their Ensemble piece for short periods most days of the week. It is the student’s responsibility to discuss with their peripatetic teacher suitable pieces.
