For government guidance and a list of symptoms, please see
People with symptoms of a respiratory infection including COVID-19 – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as COVID-19, and you have a high temperature or you do not feel well enough to go to work/school or carry out normal activities, you are advised to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

Young people (under 18) with symptoms and a high temperature, or a positive COVID-19 test result with no symptoms, should try to stay at home for 3 days after symptoms started (or the day they took their test).

Adults with symptoms and a high temperature, or a positive COVID-19 test result with no symptoms, should try to stay at home for 5 days after symptoms started (or the day they took their test).

As soon as your temperature has subsided and you feel well enough to work, you can return.

Day zero is the date your symptoms began, or the date of your positive test.
Under 18s can return on day 4 if they feel well enough and have no temperature.
18 and over can return on day 6 if they feel well enough and have no temperature.
