Today at Settle College we are celebrating our amazing sixth form students, who have produced some outstanding achievements in their A levels and vocational qualifications this summer. We are extremely pleased with this set of results, which followed rigorous internal examinations and the use of other forms of assessment. This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards.
92.3% of applicants were accepted at their first-choice university, with 42% of applicants gaining entry to a Russell Group or top 10 university.
Talking to our students, their pride and joy is evident. “I am thrilled with my results and can’t wait to go to University” says Emma Howarth, who is going on to study Primary Education. Jasmine Hruby Horn, a student who only joined us for Sixth Form, said ‘I felt instantly at home and fit right in from my first day’.
