Kate’s road to success started with Cumbria Wildlife Trust apprenticeship

Congratulations to former student Kate Cartmell-Done who has been appointed to one of 3 positions nationally on the “Our Bright Future” Steering Panel.

Our Bright Future is a £33 million programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund and run by a consortium of eight organisations which is led by The Wildlife Trusts. The programme aims to tackle three big challenges facing society today – a lack of social cohesion, a lack of opportunities for young people and vulnerability to climate change.

Kate left Settle College in 2014 with an impressive set of A Level grades in Biology, Chemistry and History, to embark on an apprenticeship with the Cumbria Wildlife Wildlife Trust. The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust were so pleased they have written to Settle College asking us to promote their latest apprenticeships with our students.
